excel.txt Driver File Contents (novell-activex_ndap-devel-2005.10.06-1windows.zip)

Introduction:

Ever imagined that Microsoft Office tools can be used to administer objects on a network.
The following samples are designed to make use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for various
functions like, finding the rights given to User objects on different volumes and
directories, retrieving or setting the NDS field values of User objects, and to get or
set the space restrictions to various directories on a server.

How the samples work:

The DirSize.xls Excel spread sheet uses Novell Volume Administration control to retrieve
space restrictions to the directories on a NetWare server. You can also set space
restrictions on the directories.

The FSRights.xls Excel spread sheet uses Novell User Group Control and Novell Volume
Administration Control to retrieve the rights assigned to User objects from any volumes.
This sample is used by the IS department of NPG-B to find the rights given to Users on
any volume and directory.
