This document gives a brief description about the broadcast application.

DESCRIPTION:

This application enables system administrators to send broadcast from
a NetWare Server to all users logged on to this server. This broadcast can be sent
from the client itself. This application also enables broadcast from all NetWare servers
under a directory context.

The default directory context is the current context of the user. The user can also browse
and select any other context under this context. Note that if a completely new tree
and context have to be selected during runtime, then the full name has to be entered in
the edit box for current context. The format for the fullname is as follows:

"NDS:\\Tree_Name\BackSlash separated context starting from the root"

The user must possess Admin rights to the NDS context.

This application allows the user to insert the current date ,current time and also
custom messages from a template file. Template messages can be manipulated by editing the
"MsgDat.Data" file which is a text file.

SETUP:

Server: The server should be NetWare 4.11 or higher.
NetBasic 6 has to be installed on the server.
The NMXServ.NLM should be loaded on the server.

Client: The Client must be Windows 95/NT with a compatible NetWare client.
