Readme for Sample Program of Novell Directory Authenticator Control 1.0 Introduction: The NDS Authenticator sample program (authen.vbp) demonstrates the functionality of the Novell Directory Authenticator Control. The sample allows you to validate the identity of an NDS object. The validation is done by verifying the password of the object or by validating its access rights over other NDS objects. The various options provided by the sample program are: The Trustees option retrieves the trustee information of the NDS object set in the FullName. The Login Restrictions and Password Restrictions options can be retireved for User objects. The Rights on Object option verifies if the NDS object specified by SubjectName has access rights to the object specified by ObjectName. The Validate Password and Change Password options enables you to verify the password of an NDS object and change the password (Administrative privileges are required to change the password). The Login and Logout options allows you to login and logout from the desired tree. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
