When using the Notepad, to wrap the text to the window size, click on Word Wrap from Format or Edit menu of the Notepad.
Note: A check mark will appear when word wrap is turned on.
Wrapping text enables you to see all the text on the line, but it doesn't affect the way text appears when it is printed.

1. Any and all copyright and any other intellectual property regarding the Software remain solely the property of MURATA MACHINERY, LTD. (hereinafter "Murata").
2. You may use the Software only in the country of your purchase and only for the purpose of using the hardware of Murata and other companies approved by Murata (hereinafter "OEM Companies").
3. You may use the Software only in compliance with notices and restrictions written in "Installation Manual" and other documents contained in this package.
4. You must not modify, alter all or any part of the Software. You must not make any attempt to discover the source code of the Software by any method including reverse-engineering, de-compiling, or de-assembling.
5. You must not sell, transfer, rent, lease or sublicense the Software to any third party by transmitting the software via phone-line or network, or by copying the software to floppy disk, CD-ROM, magnetic data tape or any other media.
6. The software is subject to changes by Murata in its specifications and program without any prior notice.

III. HOW TO INSTALL

HOW TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS AND MANUALS TO YOUR COMPUTER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Install the printer driver and scanner driver form the "Install menu".
The manuals can also be setup from "Install menu".
* To read the manuals, you need the "Acrobat Reader" installed on your computer. "Acrobat Reader" can be installed from the Setup Disk.
Inserting the Setup Disk to the CD-ROM drive will start the install menu automatically.
However if the install menu won't start automatically, follow the steps bellow:
1.Click Run from Start menu.
2. Enter "(CD Drive name):\Local\setup.exe" for name and then click OK.
"Setup.exe" can be specified by searching for "Local" folder on setup disk after pressing Browse.
Refer to the Setup Manual how to install printer driver and scanner driver.
Refer to the User Manual how to use your MFX-1330 as a printer or a scanner.
To use your MFX-1330 as a network printer or a network scanner, you need the optional NP-400.

FUNCTION OF THE TWAIN DRIVER/PRINTER DRIVER

This TWAIN Driver/Printer Driver Software is a local or networks TWAIN Driver/Printer Driver subjected for Muratec MFX-1330.
The device name for local connected scanner is "Muratec MFX-1330 Scanner", the name for network-connected scanner is "Muratec MFX-1330 Network Scanner".
The device name local or network-connected printer is "Muratec MFX-1330".
This TWAIN Driver enables TWAIN supporting software such as "Imaging for Windows" to scan images from MFX-1330.
This Printer Driver enables applications such as "Notepad" to print out on MFX-1330.

VI. LIMITATION OF TWAIN DRIVER SOFTWARE

ABOUT THE TIMING OF DELETE DOCUMENTS FROM SCAN BOX (Setting for "Delete after download")
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the document is scanned by the Computer operation, the scanned image will be deleted from the scan box at the point when the last page scanning is completed.
There are cases in which the images will be deleted from the scan box without finishing the scanning. Such troubles may occur if scan processing is interrupted right after the scanning. The reasons are:
(Examples for interruption)
* An error during compression and decompression on computer.
* The processing was canceled by the TWAIN Driver software.
* The computer was rebooted
In such cases, re-scanning may not be possible.

LIMITATION OF RUNNING THE TWAIN DRIVER SOFTWARE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While scanning an image with the TWAIN driver software from a scanner, you cannot scan another images with the same scanner using other computers.
Also, if it is a local network scanner, you cannot scan images from scan boxes while printing documents.

LIMITATION OF CONCURRENT ACCESS FROM ONE COMPUTER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While a computer is scanning an image from a scan box in the scanner, the computer cannot scan another data at the same time.
Only one application can access a scanner at one time.

LIMITATION OF PRINTING WITH TWAIN FOR LOCAL CONNECTED TWAIN DRIVER SOFTWARE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While using local connected printer or scanner with the USB interface, you cannot use the scanner while printing or the printer while scanning.

LIMITATION OF APPLICATION NOT SUPPORTING MULTIPLE PAGES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scanning multiple pages may only scan the first page.
In this case, scan the pages one by one.

SCANNING MULTIPLE IMAGES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When multiple images in the scan box are selected to be scanned, the data will be processed one by one. Therefore communication will be interrupted, when the computer switches to the next image.
When scanning from another computer begins at this timing, the scanner will be in use and the scanning will be interrupted.

USERS FOR KODAK IMAGING FOR WINDOWS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There may be a rare case that the scanned image will be displayed solid black.
In this case, set the "Scale to Gray" in "View" menu to "On", or save the image. This may help the image to be displayed in normal condition.

USERS FOR MICROSOFT OFFICE 2000 (WORD / EXCEL / POWERPOINT /PHOTO EDITOR)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scanning multiple images that were scanned in different scan size or resolution in the scan box may only scan the first page to the computer.
In this case, scan the image by one page, or set the "Fixed image size" and "resolution" at TWAIN driver in advance.
In case of "Fixed image size" is set to "Off", scanning multiple documents using the ADF may only scan the first page.
In this case, set "Fixed image size" to "On"

USERS FOR MICROSOFT OFFICE 2000 PHOTO EDITOR (V3.01)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scanning a large sized-document with the pixel type in "Grayscale" may fail.
In this case, setting the pixel type to "B/W"(Black and White) may help to solve this problem.

ImagingiImaging For Windowsjattached on Windows NT 4.0 is not available on TWAIN driver software.

VII. LIMITATION OF PRINTER DRIVER SOFTWARE

Select printer drivers Quality tab, and set the "True Type Mode" to "Download as Outline".

ABOUT THE SORTING FUNCTION
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sorting print can be specified in this driver.
If "Collate" is specified by the print dialog of the application such as Microsoft Word 7.0, the print result might become abnormal though the "Sort" in the "Paper" tab of the printer driver is turned on.
In this case, turn off the "Collate" in the print dialog of the application.

ABOUT THE COMBINE FUNCTION
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The combine print can be specified in this driver.
The combine print is a function that prints two or more pages on one paper. You can select the number of pages that should be printed on one paper from two, four, or eight.
If "Collate" is specified by the print dialog of the application, the combine print result might become abnormal.
In this case, turn off the "Collate" in the print dialog of the application.

CONNECTING LOCALLY AND USING THE POWER SAVING FEATURE(STANDBY)

When you are using the power saving feature (standby) on your computer, start to use the computer again and then reconnect the USB cable to the MFX-1330.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
