This USB device is Plug and play; you can plug it at any moment.

      4.1.1. Installation

The first time the device is pluged, the computer looks for
the driver associated to the different parts of this
         composite keyboard.
This is transparent to the user until the smart card part
         is installed.
When a "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box is printed,
Select "Specify the location for the driver (Advanced)" and

5 - User notes (known deviations)
---------------------------------

* The Smart Card Resource Manager is not Plug and Play on Windows ME.
This is a system limitation. You *must restart* your system after a
reader installation to be able to use PC/SC.

* When going to suspend mode, Windows unloads most device drivers.
Even though device drivers are reloaded on resume, the Microsoft
Smart Card Resource Manager does not update its references to these
  devices.
Note that you might also get the message:
"Reader monitor '<reader name>' received uncaught error code. The
device does not recognize the command."
We recommend that you configure your computer so that it cannot go
to suspend and that you shut it down instead of using the suspend
  mode.

* If the following message pops up after booting Windows ME:
"VxD reader driver initialization cannot open reader device. The
network request is not supported.", this is because you are trying
to use two readers on Windows ME. The Smart Card Resource Manager
has some limitations with multiple PnP readers at the same time under
this operating system. Turn off your computer, unplug one reader and
  reboot.

* After a successful uninstall, if you plug again the device, The system
keeps trace of previous installation. If you want to remove that, you
have to search in "%WINDIR%\inf\other" directory for Cherry GmbHCHSBXX33.inf
and remove it. Next time you will have to redo full install process.

6. Troubleshooting
-------------------

If the previously described procedure didn't succeed in installing or
updating the driver, please
