Bèta NDIS 3.1 driver for WaveLAN (for Windows '95 and Windows NT)

The included driver WVLAN22.SYS is a Second Bèta NDIS 3.1 WaveLAN driver for 
Windows '95 and Windows NT. It should operate in a Windows '95 environment 
with WaveLAN/AT and WaveLAN/PCMCIA and in a Windows NT environment with 
WaveLAN/AT, but only a limited amount of testing is performed.

This driver can be used for testing and demonstration purposes. It will be 
replaced by an more extensively tested version as soon as possible.

If you encounter problems when installing or using this product you can reach 
us at the addresses listed below. Please use the WaveLAN Driver Problem 
Report form where applicable and send it to us by Fax or E-Mail.
This form is available in the ZIP file as WVLANPRF.DOC (MS Word for
Windows 6.0 format) and WVLANPRF.TXT (Plain text format)

If the driver works fine, we also like to hear about this, if possible with 
the information about the type of platform etc.

Solved problems:

* The earlier version did not operate correctly with roaming enabled. This is
  solved in this version.

* This version operates with configured and unconfigured WaveLAN PCMCIA cards

Knowm problems:

* For Windows NT, the NWID must be set via the registry.

* Windows NT with PCMCIA is not yet supported.

* Encryption Key from the parameter files is not yet supported, it can be
  used if set in the PSA by the DOS INSTCONF/SETCONF programs.

* Station Name is not yet supported.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
