IDE/ATAPI NS20 Upgrade Instructions The following instructions are for updating the firmware of the IDE NS20 tape drive to the latest revision. Operating Instructions 1. Attach the tape drive to the IDE/ATAPI Bus. If the drive is not recognized by the IDE/ATAPI Bus, verify that the master/slave ID are set up correctly. 2. Create a bootable DOS diskette. 3. Copy FlashAT.exe and A279.dfi to the root directory of the bootable floppy diskette. 4. Boot to the diskette. 5. To execute the flash executible, type the following at the a:\ prompt: FLASHAT A279.DFI Description of command line: FlashAT.exe = the executible used to upgrade firmware *.dfi file = the firmware upgrade file DO NOT power off the drive while the firmware upgrade is in process. Power loss to the drive will render the drive inoperable and will require service to repair. You must reboot your system before using the tape drive to ensure your controller recognizes the firmware upgrade.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
