SiS 7007 1394 GUID Program File Readme File

Usage:
       Run "1394set.exe" -- Create/modify 1394 EEPROM data file

How to set data file:
    1.Create 1394 EEPROM data file
      a: fill [File Name     :] -- maximum of 11= 8+3 chars.
      b: fill [GUID high     :] -- Please must fill 8 chars. 
      c: fill [Start GUID low:] -- Please must fill 8 chars. 
      d: fill [Total Ids     :] -- number that will use. (decade type)
         or   [End   GUID low:] -- Please must fill 8 chars. 
      e: press the key "F10" to save 
         or "ESC" to exit without save

    2.modify 1394 EEPROM data file
      2-1. If will modify current GUID Low:
           a: fill [current GUID Low=] -- Please must fill 8 chars.
           b: press the key "F10" to save 
              or "ESC" to exit without modify.
      2-2. If will modify Total IDs:
           a: fill [   Total Ids    =] -- number that will use. (decade type)
           b: clear [    End GUID Low=] -- Please fill "space" key (8 chars)
              or fill correct number.
           c: press the key "F10" to save 
              or "ESC" to exit without modify.
      2-3. If will modify "Start GUID low:" and "End GUID Low:"
           a: fill [  Start GUID Low=] -- Please must fill 8 chars.
           b: fill [current GUID Low=] -- Please must fill 8 chars.
           c: fill [    End GUID Low=] -- Please must fill 8 chars.
           d: clear [   Total Ids    =] -- Please fill it "space" key (8 chars)
              or fill correct number.
           e: press the key "F10" to save 
              or "ESC" to exit without modify.

Notice:
    1. "current GUID Low" value must between "Start GUID Low" and "End GUID Low"
        value:  "Start GUID Low" <= "current GUID Low" <= "End GUID Low"      
    2. "Total Ids" = "End GUID Low" - "Start GUID Low" +1
    3. "Sub_VendorID  :" and "Sub_DeviceID  :" do not fill any char.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
