README.TXT Driver File Contents (bnqg400b.exe)

This is a readme file to help you use flashwizard to upgrade your Modem

1-25-05

You may use the firmware file that you received along with this readme file
if the serial number on your modem is between these two numbers 7010000 -->7099999.

1) Obtain your copy of FlashWizard. FlashWizard is available on our FTP server at
   ftp.multitech.com/utilities/flashwizard/flashwizxxx.exe (xxx=version) or by the
World Wide Web at ftp://ftp.multitech.com/utilities/flashwizxxx.exe (xxx=version)
Running the file will walk you through the install.

2) The .HEX files that are included with this file should be placed in the same
Directory that contains flashwizard.exe. The default directory that Flashwizard
   installs to is:

   C:\Program Files\MultiTech Systems\Flash Wizard\Flash Wizard.exe

3) When you run the Flashwizard application it should find a list of installed
modems, and the modem that you are trying to flash update and
it will list all the firmware HEX files that are in that directory. Then you
highlight the COM port the modem is attached to and click finish and the
   program will perform the update.

****NOTE: You will need version 1.04 or newer of the FlashWizard.exe to work with the
latest modem models. You should NEVER back rev a modem to an older version of
firmware. Doing this WILL DESTROY THE FLASH PROM!!!! once the flash PROM
is destroyed then the modem will have to come in for repair. Always flash
the latest or newest firmware code into the modem, but NEVER go backward
in the revision number. If you need assistance with this call our Technical
support line at 1(800)972-2439 or by World Wide Web at www.multitech.com/support
      	or email at tsupport@multitech.com .
