Minimum Requirements
--------------------
Operating Systems: 
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT4 SP3 or greater, or Windows 2000
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1a or Higher
Video:
The setup program requires VGA with 256 colors or better.
Resolution: 
The setup program requires 640x480 resolution or better.
CPU:
The setup program requires a 486 or faster.
RAM:
The setup program requires at least 4 MB of RAM.
Disk Space:
The setup program requires at least 13 MB of disk space.

Silent Installation
-------------------
1) Copy all the contents of the CD onto a hard disk folder
2) Recursively turn the read-only flag off for all the files and folders
3) Modify the setup response file (setup.iss) located at the root of the setup directory
4) Run setup in silent mode from a command prompt:  
	setup -s -f1<driver>\<directory>\setup.iss -f2<driver>\<directory>\setup.log
	NOTE: there are no spaces between the switches "f1", "f2" and the filenames
	NOTE: the order of the flags and arguments must be maintained as stated
	The setup log file (setup.log) is generated at the root of the setup directory

Usage:   SETUP <CHS|CHT|ENG|FRA|DEU|ITA|JPN|KOR|PTB|ESP> -s -f1setup.iss -f2setup.log
	where
	CHS: Force installation in Simplified Chinese .
	CHT: Force installation in Traditional Chinese.
	ENG: Force installation in U.S. English.
	FRA: Force installation in Standard French.
	DEU: Force installation in German.
	ITA: Force installation in Italian.
	JPN: Force installation in Japanese.
	KOR: Force installation in Korean.
	PTB: Force installation in Brazilian Portuguese.
	ESP: Force installation in Spanish.
	<no language> Install in user's current language, or English if
	                it is not one of the languages listed above.
	-s      Turn on silent installation mode.
	-f1     Define the response file to be used with a silent setup.
	        -f1<driver>\<directory>\Setup.iss
	-f2     Define the name of the log file generated by silent setup.
	        -f2<driver>\<directory>\Setup.log

Setup Log File:
---------------------
The Setup.log file is the silent installation log file.  It contains three sections.  
-The first section, [InstallShield Silent], identifies the version of InstallShield Silent used in the silent installation. It also identifies the file as a log file. 
-The second section, [Application], identifies the installed application's name and version, and the company name. 
-The third section, [ResponseResult], contains the result code indicating whether or not the silent installation succeeded. An integer value is assigned to the ResultCode keyname in the [ResponseResult] section. 

InstallShield places one of the following return values after the ResultCode keyname:
	 0	Success.
	-1	General error.
	-2	Invalid mode.
	-3	Required data not found in the Setup.iss file.
	-4	Not enough memory available.
	-5	File does not exist.
	-6	Cannot write to the response file.
	-7	Unable to write to the log file.
	-8	Invalid path to the InstallShield Silent response file.
	-9	Not a valid list type (string or number).
	-10	Data type is invalid.
	-11	Unknown error during setup.
	-12	Dialogs are out of order.
	-51	Cannot create the specified folder.
	-52	Cannot access the specified file or folder.
	-53	Invalid option selected.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
