Installation Procedure 
-----------------------

  1. In OS/2 window, Click the "MPTS" icon.

  2. The screen will display the IBM Logo. Press OK.

  3. Select the "INSTALL" button.

  4. Insert the RTL8139 driver diskette. Specify the driver path
     A:\MSLANMAN.OS2 and press Enter.  The MTD80X.OS2 driver is 
     loaded in the OS/2 system.

  5. The same step as step 3, select "Configure" button.

  6. The screen will display the "Configure" dialog box. Select "LAN
     adapters and protocols".  Press the "configure" button.

  7. The screen will display the "LAPS Configuration" dialog box. 
     Highlight the "Realtek RTL8139/810X Family PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" item in
     the "Network Adapter" window, and select "NetBios" protocol. 
     Press OK.

  8. Installation is complete. Restart your PC.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
