USB 2.0 drivers must be installed manually using the Windows Device Manager.  Follow these steps to install the drivers in Windows 2k:  

- Click "Open Device Manager" below and expand the "Other Devices" menu.
- Right or double click on the "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" device with the "yellow bang" to bring up the properties dialog.
- On the "Driver" tab, click the "Update Driver" button
- In the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard," click "Next."
- Choose "Search for a suitable driver..." and click "Next."
- Check the "Specify a location" box and click "Next."
- Use the "Browse" button to point to the cd-rom drive which contains this disc.  Navigate to the "USB 2.0\Win2k" folder and choose the "usb2.inf" driver file.  Click "OK."
- Click "Yes" if you recieve a Digital Signature warning

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
