1. Software Installation
1.1 Mac OS 8.x and 9.x
1.1.1 Decompress driver (UNEXcustomerPackageV210.sit) in your Mac machine.
1.1.2 Double-click the "Installer" icon in the decompressed folder. The
      installer program examines your computer and installs the 
      appropriate driver according to your selection.
1.2 Mac OS X
    This driver is only for Mac OS X 10.0.4. If your Mac OS X is 10.0.x 
    other than 10.0.4, please update to 10.0.4 before installing this 
    driver. If your Mac OS X is newer than or equal to 10.1, please
    download newer driver from http://www.unex-tech.com
    Please follow the following instructions to install the driver:
1.2.1 Decompress the MacOSX1004.tar with the "tar" command in Mac OS X.
      tar -xvf MacOSX1004.tar
      Then the rtl8139.pkg folder containing the driver package will be
      created.
1.2.2 The rtl8139.pkg folder is shown as a single item in the Finder window.
      Please double click the rtl8139.pkg item, then the installer will be
      launched. Please follow the installer instructions to finish the 
      driver installation.

2. Setting up the AppleTalk Control Panel
2.1 Select the "Control Panels" from the Apple Menu.
2.2 Select "AppleTalk" from the Control Panels submeu. 
2.3 Click the "Connect via:" dropdown list box to show available 
    communication connections.
2.4 Select the slot where the adapter is installed.
2.5 Close the AppleTalk control panel. A dialog box will appear asking 
    whether you want to save changes. Click the "Save" button.

3. Setting up the TCP/IP
3.1 Select "Control Panels" from the Apple Menu.
3.2 Select "TCP/IP" from te Control Panels submenu.
3.3 Click the "Connect via:" dropdown list box to show available 
    communication connections.
3.4 Select the slot where the adapter is installed.
3.5 Close the TCP/IP control panel. A dialog box will appear asking 
    whether you want to save changes. Click the "Save" button.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
