4. ===[IMPORTANT NOTES (CAUTION)]===
A. Secure Digital Memory Cards
1. You cannot access a 'Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card'
using the old 'FlashPath for MultiMediaCard" adapter.
In order to access a 'Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card'
you MUST:
a. Have a new "FlashPath SD" adapter.
b. Have FlashPath SD/ MMC drivers installed.
The old "FlashPath MMC" (only) drivers do not work
with SD cards. They work only with MMC cards.
2. You will NOT be able to play "Secure Digital Music"
directly from the 'FlashPath SD' adapter.
"FlashPath SD" does not support the "Secure Digital
Music Initiative" (SDMI), and it ONLY mounts the
'Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card' in a MultiMediaCard
mode.
B. Incompatible Floppy Disk Drives (FDDs) with which FlashPath
cannot be used.
The FlashPath cannot be used with a FDD which is connected
via a different interface from ordinary FDDs.
Unsupported FDDs include the following:
1. An external FDD connected via a PC card (PCMCIA), or
USB/ serial/ parallel ports.
2. A high recording capacity FDD such as a Imation SuperDisk
(LS-120) 120MB/ 1.44MB floppy disk drive (they connect to
the PC through an IDE cable or parallel (printer) port,
rather than the standard floppy drive port).
3. If you access the FlashPath when the "FlashPath for
SD Memory Card Status Monitor" program is not activated
(i.e. while its icon is not shown on the task bar) and
then activate the program later, the display will not
immediately reflect the current internal status of the FlashPath.
This is because the "FlashPath for SD Memory Card" Status
Monitor program starts operating the moment it detects
the first access made after the FlashPath MMC has been
inserted in the FDD. Therefore, in order to make sure
that the "FlashPath for SD Memory Card Status Monitor"
reflects the internal status of the FlashPath MMC, eject
it from the FDD, and then insert it again.
