Windows XP/2000/ME/98-98SE Driver Installation Notes for CardBus Adapter
------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW DRIVER INSTALLATION

_ Download the driver and double-click the CardBus32.EXE file.
  The utility will place a CardBus32 folder containing the driver 
  files on your hard drive. The default location is your Temp folder.
  
- Driver installation can only be achieved via the Windows 
  Add New Hardware Wizard utility.

- To launch the Add New Hardware Wizard, simply insert a card into the 
  adapter and then insert the adapter into an available CardBus slot.

- When prompted provide the location of the CardBus32 driver folder
  and follow the instructions in any subsequent dialog screens*. It may
  be necessary to re-boot the computer to complete installation.

- After successful driver installation the CardBus Adapter will
  be accessible as a drive icon via My Computer.


UPDATING DRIVER 

_ Download the driver and double-click the CardBus32.EXE file.
  The utility will place a CardBus32 folder containing the driver 
  files on your hard drive. The default location is your Temp folder.

- From Control Panel, double click "System" to open the System
  Properties window. Select the "Hardware" tab and click the "Device
  Manager"button.

- Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" ("Hard Disk Controllers" in WinME)
  by clicking the plus sign (+) and double-click "Delkin CardBus32 CF
  Adapter".

- Click the "Driver" tab and then click the "Update Driver" button to
  open the Update Driver Wizard.

- Select "Install from a Specific Location" and Browse to the CardBus32
  driver folder. Follow the instructions in any subsequent dialog
  screens*. It may be necessary to re-boot the computer to complete
  installation.

- After successful driver installation the CardBus Adapter will
  be accessible as a drive icon via My Computer.

*NOTE: Windows XP & 2000 users, during the installation of the CardBus
driver, another message may appear stating that the drivers have not yet
passed Windows Logo testing.

This simply means testing has not been completed which allows the use of
the Microsoft™ Windows logo. This driver has been extensively tested in
Windows XP and 2000 and is safe to use. Choose the option to "Continue
Anyway".

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
