1. About VirtualDrive
=========================================================
    VirtualDrive is revolutionary software that emulates a physical CD-ROM drive. You can create up to 23 virtual CD-ROM drives and have unlimited number of CDs on your disk drive. A MUST HAVE FOR GAMERS AND TRAVERS.  Run CD-ROMs at a higher performance without having to carry CDs. Enhance your notebook battery performance, efficiency and CD archiving capabilities. Take all your CD's with you on your VirtualDrive!

2. System Requirements

    *Supports Windows98/ME/2000/NT4(ServicePack6)/Windows XP
    *25MB of hard disk space
    *A CD-ROM drive(or a DVD drive)

3. Installation
=========================================================       
    Please insert the VirtualDrive CD into your CD drive. The Setup program should start automatically.  If the auto-run function does not work, run Setup.exe directly.

 4.1 #1 CD-ROM Game Support - Supports the largest number of games on the market today including copy-protected titles. (e.g. Securum, Safedisk1, Safedisk2, Laserlock)
 4.2 Supports Windows XP.
 4.3 Uses XP-style interface.
 4.4 Supports DVD: DVD Video, DVD ROM (data mode) in Windows2000/XP.
 4.5 MP3 Audio compression: Compress your audio CD to a VCD (ripping at 95% compression rate) and listen directly from your hard drive.
 4.6 Fully integrated with Windows device manager. User may change the drive letter of a VirtualDrive.
 4.7 You do not need to restart the computer after changing the drive letter or the number of VirtualDrive in Windows2000/XP.
 4.8 Converts non-compressed VCDs into ISO files.
 4.9 Search VCD from your computer as well as from the network, and add them into VirtualDrive manager.
 4.10 Can build, insert, or eject VCDs in Windows Explorer directly.
 4.11 Supports use of hot-key to insert a VCD.
 4.12 Supports user switch in Windows XP.
 4.13 Supports multiple user profile on Windows 2000/XP/NT4.
 4.14 Can view the contents of a VCD without inserting it into VirtualDrive.
    4.14.1 Exports the data from a VCD file. 
    4.14.2 Directly exports tracks of an audio VCD and saves them as wave or mp3 files. 
    4.14.3 View and export not only the of activated contents of multi-session VCD, but also the inactivated parts.
    4.14.4 Users can view both the data and the audio tracks of mixed-mode VCDs.
 4.15 Converts customized files, PhotoCD, VideoCD, DVD-ROM, and DVD-Video into VCD files.
 4.16 Adds a volume size control feature when building customized files or DVD. User can designate the volume capacity of the VCD.  
 4.17 Supports multi-session CD, CD extra, and CD text.
 4.18 Supports the access to VCD files on Novell server through Netware Client32.
 4.19 Customized build can include at most 18GB files.
 4.20 Can play VCD with media player in digital mode (All tracks of the audio CD must be included during the build). 
 4.21 Backing up and importing VCD list from VirtualDrive.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
