NE34ND.SYS Ver 1.10 02/26/96 Description: 1. NE34ND.SYS is a NDIS 3.x driver for both Windows 95 Final Release and Windows NT 3.51 Platforms. If there is only one NE-34 PCI Adapter, the driver will automatically get IOBASE and IRQ from PCI Configuration Space. If there is more than one NE-34 PCI Adapters , user can indicate a specified NE-34 card by inputing IDs. If user does not input IDs to select some specified NE-34 card , this driver will automatically select some NE-34 card to load. 2. NE34ND.INF is a Network Setup Information File for Windows 95. Installation: 1. Load NE34ND.SYS and NE34ND.INF files into local hard disk. 2. Click the [Network] Icon in the 'Control Panel' Group. 3. Click the [Add] button in the 'Network' Dialog Box. 4. Select the [Adapter] item and click the [Add] button in the 'Select Network Component' Dialog Box. 5. Click the [Have Disk] button in the 'Select Network adapters'. 6. Type the path that contains NE34ND.SYS and NE34ND.INF files and click the [OK] button. 7. When the 'NE-34 PCI Ethernet Adapter' dialog box appears , press <Enter>. 8. If more than one NE-34 adapter is installed on your computer,select a specified NE-34 card by inputing Ethernet ID. Select the 'NE-34 PCI Ethernet Adapter' item in 'Network' Dialog Box. Click the [Advanced] button. Select the 'Selected Etherent ID' item. Type the Ethernet ID. Click the [OK] button. 9. When have finished the installation procedure, click the [OK] button. 10.Restart your computer. Use: 1. Boot your computer, 2. If want to change the setting of the early interrupt function of this driver, repeat steps 2 to 11 in the Installation section. 3. If more than one NE-34 card is installed on your computer , select a specified NE-34 card to load (refer to steps 2-11 in the Installation section). Trouble Shooting: 1. Message----> Your network adapter NE-34 PCI Ethernet Adapter[0000] is not working properly. You may need to set it up again. For more information, see the Network Troubleshooter in Windows Help. Solution---> Make sure that NE-34 card is plugged into your system. 2. Condition--> The Windows 95 can not boot properly. Solution---> Make sure your NE-34 PCI card is connected to a cable. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
