PCMCIA CARD READER INSTALLATION GUIDE FROM WINDOWS 95 

1. Install the PCMCIA Card Reader on your computer. Refer to the
   manual on how to install the hardware.	

2. Switch on your computer and boot into Windows 95.

3. Click on the "Control Panel" and select "Add New Hardware".

4. When prompted to automatically detect available hardware, choose
   "No", then Click on "Next" to continue.

5. Select "PCMCIA Socket" from the list of hardware categories. 
   Click on "Have Disk".

6. Insert the installation disk in drive A: and press ENTER

7. You may need your Windows 95 CD-ROM or disks.

8. When finished, restart your computer.

Note :

1) Your PCMCIA card reader defaults to use IO Range 240-24F,   
   You may also select from the follwing IO Range. 

   IO ranges : 240-24F,200-20F,340-34F

   IO ADDRESS decoding is not software programmable. It is set 
   by the jumpers on the PCB.

2) IRQ is software programmable by the Windows 95 PnP driver. It would 
   automatically assign the available IRQ vector in the priority 
   sequence of 11, 10, 7, 5, 4, 3.

3) If all the IRQ resource is taken, the driver will default to polling
   mode. In this mode, the PCMCIA Card Reader will not require an IRQ.
   You may also select polling mode by choosing Basic Configuration 001
   under the resource tab of the device manger.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
