Troubleshooting
---------------

####

Problem: After installing the card, the system still detects my old
card even though it is no longer in the system.
Resolution: See Step 2 of the "Fresh Installation" instructions.

Known Issues
1) Occasionally, when exiting Unreal, you come back to a black screen.
Your system has not crashed. (Workaround: Move the mouse around and
click to regain the desktop back again. To gain all colors back, right
click on the desktop to and select "Properties". Select the Tab for
"Settings". Change from your current display resolution to some other
resolution, then click back on your setting and hit "Apply". For
example: I am running at 800x600, I slide the bar to 640x480, then I
slide the bar back to 800x600 and click "Apply".).

2) When playing Quake/Quake2 changing resolutions after you've begun
the game may result in a crash, with the following error message,
"Server was Killed" (Workaround: Do not attempt to change resolutions,
once you've begun playing the game).

Installation Procedures for the following Games:

Unreal
1) Install Unreal.
2) Download 2 patches. From 3Dfiles, get "unrealpatch101.exe"
at http://www.3dfiles.com/patches/unreal.shtml. Then go to Epic's
Unreal site at http://unreal.epicgames.com/ and click on "Updates &
Patches" on the left and get the files entitled Version 209 Public
Beta (UnrealBeta209.zip)

It will ask the location that Unreal was installed in. Type it in
or browse to it's directory (e.g. C:\Unreal).
4) Once that has completed, unzip the file "UnrealBeta209.zip"
into the directory C:\Unreal\System\ where C: is the drive you have
Unreal installed on.
5) Start Unreal through the Start Menu>Programs>Unreal>Play
Unreal.exe and when it prompts you if you have a 3Dfx card installed,
choose "Yes". When Unreal then tells you that "Unreal is only
compatible with Voodoo 1 and Voodoo 2 cards" and asks if you still
want to use your 3Dfx card, choose "Yes".
