the following drivers and software was downloaded from the Panasonic.ca website and all works just fine in windows xp-home and xp-professional. Follow the instructions and it will work perfectly. I have tested it successfully and only if installed in the order below.
1. Uninstall all drivers and software that came with the palmcorder.
2. Go to windows explorer and remove all directories pertaining to the software.
3. Remove all icons
4. Go to regedit and remove all panasonic, and mitshebutie (Not sure of the spelling)
5. Reboot your system. Leave camera off
6. run Palmcorder_usb_driver2_00.exe
it will open the files into Windows\temp directory
7. Start, Run, browse to windows\temp and select the
setup icon and install following instructions.
8. When rebooting turn camera on and plug in usb device.
9. Do the same with m4-mmessenger1_01.exe then reboot again
10. Finally do the same with the cardlink(forusb)1_20.exe
11. Reboot. you should up and running to what ever
you would like to do with your palmcorder

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
