HP OMNIBOOK 5700CT NOTEBOOK PC - OS/2 WARP OR WARP CONNECT, INSTALLING
SCSI DRIVERS

INTRODUCTION

When using the HP OmniBook Notebook PC with a docking system, use
the following instructions to install SCSI support. This procedure
is not necessary if OS/2 was installed from a SCSI CD-ROM drive,
because the SCSI drivers are already installed.

REQUIREMENTS

  * HP OmniBook 5700 Notebook PC with OS/2 Warp or Warp Connect
       installed.

  * HP OmniBook 5700 SCSI drivers. To create a "SCSI Drivers"
floppy disk, copy C:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\SCSI\*.* to A:. (To
install correctly, the drivers must be in the root directory
of the floppy disk.) Or get the drivers from the HP OmniBook
5700 Recovery CD in the \OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\SCSI subdirectory.

PROCEDURE

  1. Insert the floppy disk with the SCSI drivers in drive A.

  2. Open the OS/2 System folder, select the System Setup icon, and
       double-click Device Driver Install.

  3. When prompted, type the path to the HP OmniBook Notebook PC
SCSI drivers (such as A:\) and choose OK.

  4. Select "AMD SCSI" and click OK.

  5. Remove the floppy disk, then shut down OS/2 and reboot.
