To extract the compressed User's Guide for CardWizard and Power Profiler 1. From Windows Explorer, go to c:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\NT\PnP_Apm.40\Doc. 2. Double-click the NTQREF20.EXE file. A document named NTQREF20.DOC is created and can be viewed using WordPad or Microsoft Word. This document contains the User's Guide to CardWizard. 3. Double-click the PROFILER.EXE file. A document named PROFILER.DOC is created and can be viewed using WordPad or Microsoft Word. This document contains the User's Guide to Power Profiler Installing CardWizard and PowerProfiler ======================================= SystemSoft CardWizard and PowerProfiler for Windows NT 4.0 files can be installed from either the: * OmniBook hard disk from C:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\NT\PnP_Apm.40 -or- Recovery CD from \OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\NT\PnP_Apm.40 To install CardWizard 1. Go to the c:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\NT\PnP_Apm.40\CardWiz directory. 2. Run setup. Follow the setup instructions and restart your computer when completed. To install SystemSoft PowerProfiler 1. Go to the c:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\NT\PnP_Apm.40\Profiler directory. 2. Run setup. Follow the setup instructions and restart your computer when completed. Recommendations =============== Network Card Configuration Please read the CardWizard User Guide for a complete set of instructions on how to install and operate PC card network components. OmniBook Fix PowerProfiler may not suspend if you have an internal CD-ROM drive installed and "Cdrom AutoRun" is enabled under Windows Nt. To disable this feature, complete the following steps: 1. From the Start menu, run REGEDIT. This starts the Registry Editor in Administrator mode. 2. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom. 3. Select Autorun by double-clicking on the Registry Key and changing the value from 1 to 0. 4. Choose OK, then exit the Registry Editor. Your OmniBook will now suspend if you have a CD-ROM drive installed. OmniBook 5500 and OmniBook 5700 Note ==================================== The PowerProfiler "Display Power Down" feature is not implemented on the OmniBook 5500 and 5700. The Display power down feature should be left disabled in order for the PowerProfiler to work.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
