------------------------------------------------------------- PA305 Driver Installation Guide Rev. 1.11.10 (05/23/2001) ------------------------------------------------------------- PA305 AGP/PCI Graphics & Video Accelerator has three sets of drivers for different operation systems as Windows 95/98/Me, Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0. The location of these drivers were listed up below. (1). Windows 95 driver: \WIN95\SIS300M.INF Windows 98 driver: \WIN98\SIS300M.INF Windows Me driver: \WINME\SIS300M.INF (2). Windows 2000 drivers: \WIN2000\SIS300.INF (3). Windows NT 4.0 drivers: \NT40\SIS300.INF For each OS, Users may refer to the respective procedure below to proceed the driver installation. *** Driver Installation Procedure for Windows 95/98/Me *** 1. Select "My Computer" icon. 2. Select "Control Panel" under "My Computer". 3. Select "Display" under "Control Panel". 4. Select "Setting". 5. Select "Advance Properties". 6. Select "Adapter". 7. Select "Change". 8. For Me only, check "Assign driver location..." item. 9. Select "Next". 10. Check "Show all devices" and select "Next". 11. Select "Have disk" then the "Install from disk" dialog will show. 12. Enter the path to the PA305 drivers and select "OK". 13. Select SIS300M.INF from the list. 14. Select PA305 and click "OK". 15. After complete installing procedure, click "Finish" button and restart Windows to enable PA305. *** Driver Installation Procedure for Windows 2000 *** 1. These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows 2000 Administrator privileges. Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft Windows 2000 User's Manual for more information on Administrator privileges. 2. Select "My Computer" icon. 3. Select "Control Panel" under "My Computer". 4. Select "System" under "Control Panel". 5. Select "Device Manager" under "Hardware" page. 6. Under "Display adapters", select the name of the SiS6326 adapter you have installed. If you do not see a Display adapters option, or if your SiS6326 adapter is not listed, under Other Devices, select Video Controller (VGA Compatible). 7. Select the "Driver" tab. 8. Select "Update Driver". 9. Select "Next". 10. Select "Next". 11. Verify that "Specify a location" has a check mark next to it. If it does not, click in the box next to "Specify a location" to place a check mark in the box. Select "Next". 12. Enter the path to the SiS6326 drivers in the "Copy manufacturer's files from:" dialog. Select "OK". 13. If you get a dialog box that states "A suitable driver for this device is already installed.", click in the box next to "Install one of the other drivers" to place a check mark in the box, then select "Next". Otherwise, select "Next", then proceed to step 16. 14. Select SISV6326.INF from the list. 15. Select "Finish". 16. Select "Close". 17. Windows 2000 will ask if you wish to restart the computer. Select "Yes". *** Driver Installation Procedure for Windows NT 4.0 *** 1. Select "My Computer" icon. 2. Select "Control Panel" under "My Computer". 3. Select "Display" under "Control Panel". 4. Select "Settings" under "Display Properties". 5. Select "Display Type" under "Settings". 6. Select "Change.." under "Adapter Type". 7. Select "Have Disk.." under "Change Display". 8. Select "Browse" under "Install From Disk". 9. Give the path where the driver was stored under "Locate File" then click "Open". For example: d:\6326\Winnt40 10. Back to "Install From Disk" screen then click "OK". 11. The message "PA305" will appear under "Change Display". Click "OK". 12. Confirm "Yes" under "Third-party Drivers". WinNT 4.0 will perform driver installation and ask the user to close windows to restart system. 13. Close "Display Type" window. 14. Close "Display Properties" window. 15. Reboot the system then the driver installation is completed.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
