NDC SOHOware PCMCIA/ND51XX Adapter NDIS Driver for Microsoft LAN Manager DOS Requester Installation ================================================================ PRE-INSTALLATION Before installing the NOS or network applications, you should first run NDCONF1 to configure and diagnose the SOHOware PCMCIA adapter(s). We recommend you to select "Update CONFIG.SYS" in the "Configuration Menu" before exiting NDCONF1. A. Installation Procedure for LAN Manager V2.0 -------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1) Type "Setup" in Lan Manager directory (usually C:\LANMAN.DOS). Press <Enter>. 2) Press <Enter>. 3) Choose "Select Network Drivers" in "Action". Press <Enter>. 4) Select "Novell NE2000 Ethernet Adapter", then press <Add driver> button, and press <Add protocol>, press <OK>. Workstation Primary parameters appear, press <OK>. 5) Press <OK> three times. 6) Choose "Save" in "Action". 7) Press <F3> to Exit. 8) Edit the PROTOCOL.INI in C:\LANMAN.DOS to set the "INTERRUPT" and "IOBASE" under [NE2000_NIF]. Must match the NDCONF1 settings. 9) Reboot your computer. This completes the installation procedure. B. Installation Introduction for LAN Manager V2.1 (or later) ------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1) Type "LMSETUP" in LAN Manager directory (usually C:\LANMAN.DOS). Press Enter. Microsoft LAN Manger Setup will appear. 2) Choose "Network Drivers..." in " Configuration ". Press Enter. 3) Choose <Add New Configs> ,press Enter. Network Adapter Driver appears. 4) Select "Novell NE2000 Ethernet Adapter". Push <OK> button. 5) Press the SPACEBAR to select the protocol what you want. 6) Push <OK> button. Configuration Complete appear. 7) Push <Save> button. 8) Press "F3" to exit. 9) Press Enter. 10) Edit the PROTOCOL.INI in C:\LANMAN.DOS, and set the "INTERRUPT" and "IOBASE" under [NE2000_NIF]. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
