Installing the Sound and GamePort Drivers for CMI8330 Soundcard on Windows_XP
(Best viewed in Ariel 10 fonts)

NOTE: There are no Joystick (GamePort) or MPU-401 MIDI Drivers available from CMI
for Windows_XP, you must use Windows_XP generic drivers, pay careful
           attention for installing these items.

These instructions were compiled after much frustration, trial and error to finally get
them to work. Finally worked for me, hope they work for you.

Installing and configuring the Joystick was the greatest challenge, you may have to
play around with your hardware settings to finally get it to work, but then hopefully
maybe not.

Let your system fully load without trying to install any sound or game port controllers
the wizard may discover and want to install, hit cancel each time.

Go to "Device Manager" (from Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager) and
uninstall any and all refrences to CMI8330
	(Usually in ? Other Devices,
				? CMI8330, Audio Adapter.
                                                        ? CMI8330, Audio Adapter.
                                                        ? CMI8330, Audio Adapter.
                                                        ? CMI8330, Audio Adapter.
(Right Click on item, Left Click Uninstall, Left Click OK for each item.)
