Conner has merged with Seagate. We will continue to use the Conner name when referring to CNR117.SYS device driver. Note, the CNR117.SYS device driver does not support Conner's 2 Mbps tape controller. This device driver can be used with Conner's floppy interface tape drives that support the QIC-117 protocol. This includes the following Conner tape drives and (tapes): CTT-3200 (TR3, TR2, QW3020, QW3010, MC3000XL PIMAT, MC3000XL TAUMAT) CTT-800 (TR1, QW5122F, DC2120XL, DC2120, DC2080) TSM-420 (QW5122F, DC2120XL, DC2120, DC2080), 11250N (DC2120,DC2080). The file CNR117NT.EXE and Q117RDME.TXT (this file) can be downloaded from Seagate's BBS (1-408-438-8771) or obtained on diskette from Seagate Tape Sales Support (1-800-626-6637). To install and use the Conner device driver CNR117.SYS for either Windows NT 3.5 or Windows NT 3.51 please follow the instructions below. The following procedure will assume the file CNR117NT.EXE is the only file on a diskette in the A: drive, on a PC running Windows NT 3.5x. Before proceeding, put the file CNR117NT.EXE on a diskette and put the diskette in the A: drive. From FileManager click on the A: drive Icon to display the files on the A: drive. Note CNR117NT.EXE is present. Double click on CNR117NT.EXE to execute, as it is a self extracting file. This will create three files, on the diskette in the A: drive: 1) A:\INSTALL.BAT 2) A:\CNR117.EXE 3) A:\README.TXT Again using FileManager click on the A: drive Icon, then double click on INSTALL.BAT to execute this batch file. Executing INSTALL.BAT will create an installable NT Driver Diskette out of the diskette in drive A: with the following directory structure and files. A:\cnr117nt.exe A:\readme.txt A:\cnr117.exe A:\install.bat A:\disk1 A:\conner\ppc\cnr117.sys (for Power PC's) A:\conner\i386\cnr117.sys (for Intel PC's) A:\conner\oemsetup.inf Lastly, follow the Install procedure outlined in the file A:\README.TXT to install the CNR117.SYS device driver. The Install Procedure can automatically determine the type of PC (either Intel or PowerPC) and install the proper version of the driver. Write Protect and store the diskette, as it can be used to install the driver on other PC's. It has the proper directory structure and files to go directly to the install procedure outline in the A:\README.TXT file.Download Driver Pack
