                       dellmgr for linux
                       =================


The dellmgr utility manages following PERC controllers under 
Linux v6.2 and v7.0,
- PERC 2/SC
- PERC 2/DC
- PERC 3/DC
- PERC 3/DCL
- PERC 3/QC

NOTE:
This utility requires PERC controller (megaraid) driver v1.08e or 
higher under Red Hat Linux v6.2 to support PERC 3/DC, PERC 3/DCL 
and PERC 3/QC controllers.

Please refer to PERC 3 User Guide for documentation about dellmgr.


Installing dellmgr
==================
dellmgr-5.07-1.i386.rpm installs dellmgr utility on Linux systems. 
Use following command to install dellmgr,

         rpm -i dellmgr-5.07-1.i386.rpm

This will install the required files in /usr/sbin directory. 
To run execute dellmgr from command line.


Uninstalling dellmgr
====================
Use following command to uninstall dellmgr,

         rpm -e dellmgr-5.07-1

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
