RH7UTIL.ZIP file containes two RPMs (afaapps-2.1-1.i386.rpm and megaraid-megamgr-1.07-7.i386.rpm) , one perc2/sc firmware (P2SC313.exe), and one README file.
afaapps-2.1-1.i386.rpm:
is an Adaptec controllers managment tool for Linux RH6.2SBE2 and RH7.0. Install this package on a system that has Adaptec controller. To install this package, from the command line run
rpm -ivh afaapps-2.1-1.i386.rpm --force
To start this managment tool, run "afacli" from the command line.
Note: When installing this RPM, it will make /dev/afaX nodes, where X is the number controllers. If you add another controller to the system after this RPM has been installed, you will need to create the afaY node manually as follows
/dev/MAKEDEV.afa /dev/afaY
where Y is a number from 0 to 7
This package requires a few libraries to be present (installed) on the system such as libncurses.so.*, (where * is a number). If this package complaines about not finding libraries, install these libraries.
megaraid-megamgr-1.07-7.i386.rpm:
is an AMI controllers managment tool for Linux RH6.2SBE2 and RH7.0. Install this package on a system that has any AMI "Perc" card. To install this RPM from the command line, run
rpm -ivh megaraid-megamgr-1.07-7.i386.rpm --force
To start this managment tool, run "megamgr" from the command line.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
