    Broadcom implementation for CIM is embeded within intermediate driver.
    Failover events are logged in event log which in turn is monitored by
    Microsoft CIM. Users can use 'wbemtest.exe' to browse CIM database.
    'wbemtest.exe' can be found in Windows 2000 under
    '%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem'. Following are the steps to browse the
    information.
    1. Run 'wbemtest.exe'.
    2. Press 'Connect...' button at the right top corner. A dialog box will
       pop up'
    3. In 'Server\Namespace' box, type in 'root\CIMV2'.
    4. Press 'Open Class...' button. A dialog box will pop up.
    5. In 'Enter Target Class Name', type in 'Win32_NTLogEvent'. An object
       editor dialog box will pop up.
    6. Press 'Instances' button at right side of window. A 'Query Result'
       dialog box will pop up.
    7. Double click on any record you want to examine.
    8. Look for records with 'Blfm' in 'SourceName'. These are records put in
       by Broadcom Load Balance/Fail Over driver.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
