WHAT'S COMING
-------------
Support for other 3D Hardware besides VooDoo and VooDoo2 (i.e. Riva 128, Rendition 2200, Voodoo Rush)
Support in Quake2 for the unsupported menu drivers (default OpenGL, PowerVR)
Support for skins in QuakeWorld
Support for more games (i.e. Blood 2, Prey, Shogo)

KNOWN PROBLEMS/ISSUES:

GameSpy seems to launch unreal.exe to matter what I set the Unreal command line to in the registry. Looking into this. The only impact is if you want to use an ini other that unreal.ini.

Quake2 screen is solid-light gray on some machines. Does not appear to be a GameLaunch bug... Problem seems to have been eliminated.
If you are using the 'default OpenGL' or 'PowerVR' drivers for Quake2, do not check the second check box in the 'Resolution' area of your 'Video Profiles'. Then the last driver you used will be used. As soon as i get the video cards that support these modes in my hot little hands, support for these drivers will be added. ;-)

Unexpected Error 50003 When opening ScriptMaster
------------------------------------------------
Some people are receiving an Error 50003 when launching the application.
This is caused by an incompatibility problem caused by a Microsoft upgrade.
This is not a trappable error, therefore the program crashes.

For some people the problem is solved by pressing Start - Run on the task
bar and entering the following:

regsvr32.exe comctl32.ocx

Some people also need to enter:

regsvr32.exe oleaut32.dll

OLEAUT32.DLL
-----------------------------------------------------
If you get this error:
"The MSVBVM50.DLL is linked to missing export OLEAUT32.dll:421"
Then this is the solution:
According to Microsoft's support site, you need to update your ole automation files.
I clipped this from their page.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Resolution
You need to install the update to the OLE Automation system libraries. These files are contained in the executable Oadist.exe, which is included in the download. (NOTE: If you are using Window NT 3.51, you must use Oadist2z.exe instead; read the Knowledge Base article mentioned below.)
Alternately, you can find these files at either of the following locations:
	http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q164/5/29.asp
	-or-
	ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/Softlib/MSLFILES/oadist.exe
	ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/Softlib/MSLFILES/oadist2z.exe
You can use most Web browsers to download this file from either location.
This file is also on the Microsoft Download Library BBS.

VERSION 1.00.0002 [Mid-release]

*) SHAREWARE PERIOD REDUCED TO 30 DAYS
YES, THIS WILL AFFECT YOU IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 30 DAYS LEFT ON A BETA COPY - YOU'LL BE REDUCED TO 30 DAYS

1) Error 340 when opening a script: bug was fixed.
2) Quake Waves fixed. (commands referenced incorrect waves)
3) A couple more obscure date formats added.
4) QuakeWorld doesn't recognize a game modification until directed to by the server. Therefore, any player script you want executed at startup must be in the default directory, not in the game mod directory. Because of this, the Game Modification check box is grayed out for QuakeWorld.
5) When doing a 'Configure GameSpy', it is for all games, therefore a game modification should not be checked. In this version, checking 'Configure GameSpy' will remove a check under 'Game Modification', and vice-versa.
6) Support for top-level scripts with spaces in the file names added. Note: spaces in file names should generally be avoided, especially if binding a script to a key, or including a script in an alias.
7) Item #2 from [VERSION 0.99.0032] actually included in the build. :-)
8) Map Selector Added! -Loads all map name out of .PAK files; loads all .BSPs out of \maps\ directory; loads .PAKs and .BSPs in Game Modification directories also (if checked)

13) New Feature: add any command line parameters you want.
14) Deleting Scripts now moves them into the Recycle Bin (previously, they were just removed from the script list, and then they were auto-detected and added later)
15) New option in Script Menu - Copy Script. Let's you copy the script with a new name, or copy the script to a new directory without opening ScriptMaster.
16) Bug Fix: After doing a configure of GameSpy, doing a regular launch form GameLaunch could overwrite the GameSpy ql_666.qs configuration script.
17) Inverted mouse errors fixed.
18) Bunch-o-tiny-stuff
19) Updated help files

VERSION 0.99.0032 <Beta3>

1) Swedish date formats supported
2) Apparently, Quake, Quake2, etc. do NOT support European number format i.e. "1,05" instead of "1.05"
	-Script Master still does
-but now it reconverts to "." format when writing the script to the disk.
3) Mousewheel, Joystick, Aux bindings added to ScriptMaster
4) Quake 2 Grey Screen Problem: fix mentioned below (0.99.0030 - #23) actually included in distribution. doh! :-)

6) Fixed GameSpy finder bug introduced in 0.99.0030

VERSION 0.99.0030 <Beta2>

1) Support for non-US date formats added.
-bug caused incorrect date to be set on international systems
2) Bugs in setup that caused early expiration fixed.
3) 640x480 resolution supported.
4) You can now save multiple 'Video Profiles'. Before, there were just a slew of Game and Hardware video options (on the main form). Now, you can save those sets of options. There are four sets to start - they are:
Base - this will be what you have been using most recently (before this upgrade)
Optimize for Speed - similar at installation to the old 'Optimize by Speed' option, except, of course, you can now edit and save it!
Optimize for Beauty - similar at installation to the old 'Optimize by Beauty' option, except, of course, you can now edit and save it!
Default - similar at installation to the old 'Default' option, except, of course, you can now edit and save it!
You cannot delete these, but you can add, edit, and delete as many extra profiles as you want, as well as editing the standards (as mentioned before)
For those of you with the screen space, you can view the Video Profiles window and still use the rest of GameLaunch at the same time.
5) Video options now separated do you can tell which are hardware specific - this will aid my adding of support for cards other than 3Dfx - coming soon!
6) Tells you if the Reg Code you entered was correct or incorrect right away.
7) Bug Fix: ScriptMaster would warn about saving as config.cfg even in file was *config.cfg.
8) Bug Fix: ScriptMaster: You could not select the default run backwards speed - it was not there.
9) ScriptMaster: Now supports European number format i.e. "1,05" instead of "1.05"
10) Bug Fix: ScriptMaster: (under certain circumstances) would lose the 'Invert Mouse' setting. (see #3)
11) Bug Fix: ScriptMaster: Double clicking 'ECS' key could crash program.
12) Memory allocation now specifies 'real' megabytes instead of 'Maxtor' megabytes i.e. 'HEAPSIZE 32768' instead of 'HEAPSIZE 32000'
13) Listen and dedicated server options grayed out when QuakeWorld or HexenWorld executable is selected.
14) 'Open my Video Profile' button added.
15) Now, when selecting a Modification Subdirectory, the list of available player scripts changes to reflect the script files within that Modification Subdirectory.
16) More advanced Portals of Praveus support:
-When you select a Portals game executable, the Portals Modification Subdirectory is chosen and checked automatically. This gives you instant access to the player scripts for the Mod. (see #9)
-When you select a regular non-Portals game executable, the Portals Modification Subdirectory (if selected and checked) is automatically un-checked.
17) The help file as now being properly compressed - it's down to 1 meg from 6 megs
18) Gamma selections in ScriptMaster now range 0.1 to 2.0 (instead of 0.0 to 1.0) - 0.0 is pure white, 1.0 is default. Valid in non-GL only.
19) 'Run Benchmark' option disabled in QuakeWorld/HexenWorld. (not valid, and causes GPFs on some systems)
20) Quake2: Support for 'Wave Sound Only' and 'Enable CD' added to ScriptMaster.
21) A few ICQ-style 'show-until-not-needed' help messages added. Expect more to be added in the future.
22) A third bug that would actually expired the program after 30 days (the old period) was fixed.
22) Upon installing this version, all unregistered users will start a new 60 day shareware period from scratch.
23) Quake 2 Grey Screen Problem: a new .pif file installed to combat this problem - this solution has helped MOST with the error.
-Some systems just seem to have a problem launching Quake2 from a Batch File. While this is not a GameLaunch specific error, we are trying to fix it for everyone anyway :-)
24) Launches of Non-GL Executables (i.e. quake.exe, qwcl.exe, h2.exe, hwcl.exe, h2mp.exe) ignore GL options.
25) If the Video Profile window is open when GameLaunch is closed, then it will automatically open the next time you open GameLaunch (in the same position, of course)
