1200 UP PLUS  Windows XP Driver Installation

In order to properly install the 1200 UB PLUS Windows XP driver, the original driver must be removed first. Follow these steps below to remove the old driver (if you have attempted to install this scanner before) and install the new version.

Step One - Disconnect the Scanner

Make sure the scanner is not connected to the computer. Disconnect the scanner's USB plug from the USB socket.

Step Two - Remove the Previous Driver Version (If you have previously attempted to install the scanner)

Click on Start, Programs, 1200 UB PLUS and select Uninstall. Follow the prompts to remove the original driver. 
Step Three - Install the Downloaded Windows XP Driver and Panel Program. 

Restart your computer  
After downloading ALL FILES for both the twain driver(1 through 7) and panel program(1 through 4) into the same folder, double-click the file web.exe to begin the installation and follow the installation prompts.  
When the twain driver installation is finished, you will be prompted to restart the computer. (IMPORTANT - DO NOT restart computer between programs). 
After installing the twain,  install the panel program by double clicking on UP_LIB.EXE   to begin the installation and follow the installation prompts. When this finishes restart the computer when prompted. 
Once the computer has been restarted you will want to connect the scanner to the USB 

When the Hardware Wizard Select no not this time , click next the install from a specific location. Point it to the path of the win xp folder, Click next then It will Install.

After this restart the computer with the scanner pluggd in at it should work.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
