                    Installing Windows 95
                        Mouse Drivers



Requirements

HP OmniBook 800 with retail Windows 95 installed.
HP OmniBook 800 Recovery CD and CD-ROM drive.


Procedures

1.   Connect the OmniBook 800 CD-ROM drive.
2.   Insert the OmniBook Recovery CD in the CD-ROM drive.
3.   Run Windows 95.
4.   Open a DOS window.
5.   Change directory to \OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WIN95\MOUSE\WINDOWS on the
     Recovery CD.
6.   Type: COPY OBAMC95.EXE C:\WINDOWS
7.   Change directory to \OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WIN95\MOUSE on the Recovery CD.
7.   Type: COPY MOUSE.REG C:\
7.   Type: REGEDIT C:\MOUSE.REG
8.   Type: DEL C:\MOUSE.REG
9.   Restart Windows 95.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
