Installing mouse support System Installation Requirements HP OmniBook 800 installed with Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups HP OmniBook 800 Mouse Drivers. These drivers are located on the OmniBook hard disk in C:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WFW\MOUSE. These drivers are also located on the HP OmniBook Recovery CD in the \OmniBook\DRIVERS\WFW\MOUSE directory. Procedure 1. Create a directory named C:\MOUSE. 2. Add the following line to the C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file: set mouse=c:\mouse 3. Add c:\mouse to the path statement in the C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file. (e.g. path=c:\;c:\windows;c:\dos;c:\mouse) 4. Add c:\mouse\obamc16.exe to the run statement in the C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file: (e.g. run=c:\mouse\obamc16.exe) 5. Copy the files from C:\OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\WFW\MOUSE\MOUSE directory to the newly created C:\MOUSE directory. 6. Reboot the OmniBook. Open the Windows Setup icon in Program Manager, change the mouse type to Mouse System Serial. 2. Restart Windows. (If prompted for the mouse driver, type the C:\MASTERS. This will be the path suggested in the dialog box. If the software is NOT the default Hewlett-Packard load, type A:\ and insert the requested Windows for Workgroups installation floppy disk.) 3. To reactivate the built-in mouse, use Windows Setup to change the mouse type to Microsoft Or IBM PS/2.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
