Note: AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION II BELOW, RUN THE CLEAN95
UTILITY ON THE CARDASSISTANT DISKETTE BEFORE
INSERTING THE AT-2450 ADAPTER CARD IN THE COMPUTER.
I. Special Considerations
==========================
To configure the cable media, to change to full-duplex mode
(with a full-duplex hub), or to run Diagnostics, use the
CardAssistant setup program, SETUP24.EXE. The SETUP24
utility only runs on DOS. To enter DOS mode in Windows 95,
reboot and press F8 when the "Starting Windows 95" message
appears. Select the Command prompt only option (#6). See
manual for details.
To de-install the driver, use the remove driver option from
your Windows 95 Network Control Panel. See "III. Removing
an Existing Driver".
II. Installing the AT-2450 with Windows 95
==========================================
1. With Windows 95 installed as per Microsoft installation
instructions, insert the Allied Telesyn CardAssistant
diskette in the floppy drive.
2. Double click the computer icon in the upper left-hand
corner of the screen.
3. Double click the 3.5" diskette icon.
4. Double click the CLEAN95.EXE icon.
5. Click the Install Drivers button. Check for the message:
"Driver installation successfully completed." Click the
OK button.
6. Shutdown Windows 95, power off your computer, install
your AT-2450 card, and reboot your system.
7. Windows 95 finds the PCI adapter card. If prompted by
Windows 95, insert the Windows setup CD-ROM disc or
the floppy diskette(s).
8. Reboot the computer into Windows 95 as prompted.
Windows 95 will complete the driver installation process.
III. Removing an Existing Driver
================================
1. From the "My Computer" icon, choose "Control Panel".
Then choose "Network".
2. From the "Network" dialog box, select the adapter to
remove. Then choose "Remove".
3. Do Not Shutdown or Restart Windows 95 at this time.
To install the AT-2450 driver, complete the steps listed
in section II.
