B. ESS Modem Drivers Installation


	Step 1:	Install Audio driver
	From Control Panel/Multimedia/Devices, choose "Add...", 
	then "Unlisted or Updated Drivers", click "OK" then specify 
	A: drive...... (and let the system restart)

	Step 2: Install modem driver
        1) Insert this installation disk into drive A:and Run SETUP.EXE 
	   from this diskette.
        2) Select COM port at the installation menu.
        3) Select OK to continue, CANCEL to cancel the installation. 
        4) Use the Modem icon in Control Panel to install the modem, it will
           automatically detect the ES56CVHP modem, do not choose this item
           manually.
        5) That's it!
	Note: Audio driver must be installed before modem driver.



C. Uninstallation Procedure

	1) Remove ESS modem from ControlPanel add/remove icon and then select "uninstall ESS modem."
	2) From ControlPanel\Multimedia\Devices select and remove "Audio for ESS Maeatro.."
	3) If you want to reinstall modem, please restart computer first.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
