INSTALLING WINDOWS NT 4.0 VIDEO SUPPORT ON OMNIBOOK 3000


Requirements
============
     * HP OmniBook 3000 with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 installed.

     * HP OmniBook 3000 video drivers. The drivers are located 
       on the HP OmniBook 3000 Recovery CD in the 
       \OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\NT\VIDEO directory.

Procedure
=========
1.  Boot NT on the Omnibook 3000 and log in as the administrator or anyone who has admin
    privileges.
2.  Open My Computer, then Control Panel.
3.  Open Display and select 'Settings'.
4.  Select "Display Type...".
5.  Select "Change...".
6.  Click Have Disk... in the Change Display windows.
7.  Enter the directory location of the Windows NT 4.0 OmniBook3000 video
    drivers and click OK.
8.  Click "Okay" to install the NeoMagic MagicGraph 128 /V/ZV/XD
    driver.
9.  Click "Yes" to confirm you are installing a third-party driver.
9.  Click OK to accept the driver was installed correctly.
10. Click Close in the Display Type window.  (The new driver will not take 
    effect until after Windows NT has restarted.)
11. Click Close in the Display Properties windows.
12. Restart the computer.
13. When Windows NT restarts it will inform you that a new graphics driver
    has been installed.  Click OK.
14. Select the desired Color Palette and Desktop area and click Test, then OK. 

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
