   To install NeoMagic Display driver
   --------------------------------
   Use this procedure to install the NeoMagic display driver for
   Windows 95/98.

   Requirements
    * OmniBook
    * The appropriate OmniBook Recovery CD.
    * One formatted floppy disk.

   1. Connect the ac adapter to the OmniBook. 

   2. Connect the floppy disk drive to the OmniBook's parallel
      port (floppy drive cable required).

   3. Install the CD-ROM drive into the module bay.

   4.  Boot Windows 95/98

   5. Insert a blank formatted disk into the floppy disk drive.

   6. Insert the Recovery CD into the CD-ROM drive.

   7. From the CD-ROM drive, copy the files in  
      \Omnibook\Drivers\Video to the floppy disk.  The floppy disk 
      you have just created is the driver installation disk

   8.  Run Control Panel and open the Display applet.  Change to the
       "Settings" tab.

   9.  Select "Display Type...".

   10. Select "Change...".

   11.  Select "Have Disk...".

   12.  Place the driver installation disk (created by step 7) in drive A: 
        and select "OK".

   13.  Click "Okay" to install the NeoMagic MagicGraph128XD
        driver.  Click "Yes" to confirm you are installing a third-party driver.

   14.  Click "Okay" on the message box dialog.  Shut down Win95 and reboot.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
