README.TXT for Windows 95 Release 1.10 for CS4232 ================================================= To enable real DOS mode with CS4232 support: 1. Select a DOS prompt icon. 2. Select Properties. 3. Go to the Program tab. 4. Select the Advanced... button. 5. Click MS-DOS Mode. 6. Click "Specify a new MS-DOS configuration." 7. Add the following line to the Config.sys for MS-DOS mode: Device=C:\WINDOWS\CS4232C.EXE If Windows 95 has been installed to a directory other than C:\WINDOWS please change this line accordingly. To enable a CS4232 audio card in a system that contains multiple CS4232 audio cards: 1. Add the following option to the CS4232C.EXE entry in the CONFIG.SYS. Device=C:\WINDOWS\CS4232C.EXE /Sxxx where xxx is the OEM ID number for the CS4232 audio card to be enabled. 2. The OEM ID number can be obtained from the manufacturer or by adding a "/V" to the CS4232C.EXE entry in the CONFIG.SYS: Device=C:\WINDOWS\CS4232C.EXE /VDownload Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
