1. open project file "c54x_1.prj" with Keil µVision
Note: You require the full version of Keil µVision.
(The Evaluation Version from the Starter Kit CD is not able to link this project.
Workaround: include the code from Util.c in Main.c)
2. build project
3. linker ignore error messages/warning
4. switch to dos-shell
5. start mon51 2 (2 >>> COM2, nothing >>> COM1)
6. load object code ( "load c54x_1" )
7. start code ( "g" )
other file description:
"*.c" files are short descripted via comments
"*.h" files are short descripted via comments
"startmon.bat" starts the monitor on com2
"usb.inf" FOR WINDOWS'98 (tested with BETA 2.1 build 1602)
copy this file into the "INF" directory under "Windows" directory
this will generate on successfull enumeration "SIEMENS C541: WE have IT!"
this message can be reviewed via the device manager at the usb section or
at the registery HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Enum/USB/VID_058B&PID_C541

Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
