Installing the PCMCIA Ethernet Card driver Under Windows NT 3.5x & NT 4.0 ============================================ The Windows NT 3.5x & NT 4.0 driver complies with Microsoft's NDIS specification version 3.0. The PCMCIA Ethernet Card driver files for Windows NT 3.5x & NT 4.0 contained in this directory are as follows: Files Contents -------------- ---------------------------------------------------- PCMLAN10.SYS NDIS 3.0 driver for Windows NT 3.5x & NT 4.0. OEMSETUP.INF OEMSETUP file for Windows NT 3.5x & NT 4.0. \DISK1 It is not necessary to install enabler software (either a direct enabler or Card and Socket Services) when installing a PCMCIA Ethernet Card under Windows NT 3.5x or NT 4.0. This version will directly configure the PCMCIA Ethernet Card for the Intel 82365SL and other PCMCIA controllers compatible with it. This driver diskette includes an OEMSETUP.INF file for Windows NT. Using the OEMSETUP.INF file, you can select PCMCIA Ethernet adapter to be installed through the Windows NT Network dialog box menus. For more information about setting up Windows NT and the networking system, please see your MS Windows NT documentation. ************************************************** * Windows NT 3.5x Installation Procedure Steps * ************************************************** 1. From within Windows NT 3.5, go to "Main => Control Panel => Network" and choose "Add Adapter". 2. When LAN card is installed, Windows NT will present a list of all available drivers. Select OTHER for 3rd-party adapters not in the driver list. 3. Windows NT will ask for the drive/path containing the network Windows NT drivers. Insert the driver diskette in drive 'A' and respond with the following. A:\NDIS3\WINNT 4. Windows NT will attempt to locate an OEMSETUP.INF file in the specified path. If you have entered the path name correctly, Windows NT should copy the appropriate drivers to the Windows NT system. 5. Select the "PCMCIA Ethernet Card" choice. You need to specify IRQ number, I/O number, Memory Location and Socket number. 6. The driver would have been properly copied and the installation would proceed to the next step. Please refer to your "Windows NT Installation Guide" for correct procedures. 7. After the initial installation, the PCMCIA ethernet drivers will be permanently copied to the Windows NT system. Subsequent network driver lists will already contain PCMCIA Ethernet driver. 8. After completion of the installation, you should restart your computer. ************************************************* * Windows NT 4.0 Installation Procedure Steps * ************************************************* 1. Click the "Start" button, point to Settings, and then goto "Control Panel". 2. Double-click the "Network" icon in "Control Panel". 3. Select "Adapters", and then click "Add...". 4. Click "Have Disk". 5. Insert the PCMCIA driver Disk into drive 'A', and type the path. A:\NDIS3\WINNT 6. From the "Select OEM Option" box, choose "PCMCIA Ethernet Card". 7. Select the "PCMCIA Ethernet Card". You need to specify IRQ number, I/O number, Memory Location and Socket number. 8. Click [Close]. The NT drivers will be copied into your system, and upon completion, the "[n] PCMCIA Ethernet Card" (where n is the adapter number) will appear in the "Network Adapters" list of the "Network" box. 9. Shutdown and reboot the system. 10. Repeat the above procedure when installing multiple boards.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
