				       USB Installation

					  Windows 98



1.  Make sure your computer is off.  
2.  Plug the PS/2 power connector miniplug end into the power in jack on your device (CDROM, Zip, etc.)
3.  Plus the PS/2 end into a PS/2 port on your computer.
4.  Plug the 36 pin connector on the USB cable into your device.
5.  Plug the USB end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer.
6.  Boot your computer to Windows.
7.  When Windows detects the new hardware choose:

		Disk provided by hardware manufacturer.

8.  When prompted to do so, insert the USB Drivers diskette.
9.  Click Next to continue.

Installation is complete.  Your new drive should show up under My Computer with it's own drive letter.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
