                   Installation Guide

1. Installation Procedure 
-------------------------

 a. Type Pcconfig, and then press <Enter>.
    "Configuring A PC for the Network" appears.

 b. Select "1 -  Network Card Setting", press <Enter>.
    "The possible hardware configuration option are" appears.

 c. Chose "NDIS Ethernet", and then press <Enter>.

 d. Key in specified interrupt number, and MXNICF to the
    PROTOCOL bindings = .

 e. Press 'F10' when done, and then press <Esc> to exit this screen.

 f. Select "2 - Login Environment Settings. ", and then press <Enter>.

 g. Select "1 - Select Default Communications Driver. ", and then press <Enter>.

 h. Choose "NDIS Ethernet" , and then press <Esc> to exit this menu.

 i. Press 'F10' when all done.
    This message "Please wait ...." will appear.

 k. To modify the config.sys and protocol.ini files, refer to the example below.

3. Protocol.ini file for LAN Manager.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
