Select General tab. The system version will be displayed Installation Procedures for Win95 OSR2 -------------------------------------- 1. Start your PC, then insert the PC Card into an available PC Card slot in your PC. 2. After starting Windows 95, the PCI Ethernet Controller will be detected automatically, then the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window appears, and Windows displays the message "PCI Ethernet Controller" 3. Insert the CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card Installation diskette into any available floppy drives. 4. Click the Next button in the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window. Win95 will start to search floppy drive for network driver, and Windows displays a appropriate product name according to a matched INF file. 5. Click Finish button, when a Insert Disk dialog appears, press OK to proceed. Then type A: and press OK. Win95 starts to copy the CardBus Fast Ethernet PC Card driver to the user's hard disk. When another Insert Disk dialog appears, press OK again and key-in your Win95 operation system source file directory and click OK to proceed. 6. Restart your computer if needed and the PC Card should working properly now. How to update the driver ------------------------ Before update the driver please plug the PCMCIA card into PCMCIA slot. There are 2 steps of procedures to update a LAN driver of Win95. .Delete device registration .Delete the Driver file 1. Delete device registration 1.1 Double click the "System" Icon in "Control panel" Window 1.2 Press the "Device Manager" button 1.3 Double click "Network Adapters" to list the devices 1.4 Select the device and press "Remove" button 1.5 Press "OK" to confirm device removal 2. Delete the driver file 2.1 In DOS command mode, change directory to "\windows\system" if your Win95 is installed in "\windows" 2.2 Delete the LAN driver. You may use "dir *.sys" to see the driver file name first After the file deletion, return to the Win95 windows mode. Remove the PCMCIA card and plug in again. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
