Overview

This driver is the Windows XP and Windows 2000 driver for the GTW V.92 Modem or GTW V.92 Voice Modem.


Identification

Windows XP Identification

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance.

3.  In Performance and Maintenance, click System.

4.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

5.  In Device Manager, double-click Modems.

6.  If GTW V.92 Modem or Voice Modem is listed under Modems, this is the correct driver.

Windows 2000 Identification

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

4.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

5.  In Device Manager, double-click Modems.

6.  If GTW V.92 Modem or Voice Modem is listed under Modems, this is the correct driver.

Note: The Applicable Part Numbers section can also be checked against the computer's invoice.


Installation

Download the file to the desktop, and then perform the following steps.

1.  On the desktop, double-click the 9519160_XP_2K.exe file.

2.  In the WinZip Self-Extractor window, click Unzip to expand the files to C:\cabs\9519160_XP_2K.  When complete, click OK, and then click Close.

3.  Close all open windows and dialog boxes.

4.  From the Start menu, click Run.

5.  In the Run dialog box, in the Open text box, type: C:\Cabs\9519160_XP_2K\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

6.  In the Welcome dialog box, click Next. 

7.  Files copy. 

8.  In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

3.  In the Add or Remove Programs window, select GTW V.92 Modem or GTW V.92 Voice Modem, and then click Remove.

4.  In the Confirm Removal dialog box, click OK.


Troubleshooting

Follow the removal instructions and remove every instance of GTW V.92 Voice Modem.  Download the file again, and then reinstall the driver.  Ensure that no installation steps are missed.


Reason for Update

This is the latest driver for the GTW V.92 Voice Modem.
