Trident DCI Driver
Trident DCI Driver is a video playback program at driver level to support
video playback applications on Trident display chips 9680, 9682, and 9385
which provide Offscreen surface suppport, hardware color-space conversion,
video overlay, scaling, interpolation, dithering, and minify.
Trident DCI Driver provides the Display Control Interface as follows:
DCICreatePrimarySurface
DCIEnumSurface
DCICreateOffScreenSurface
and the Callback functions:
BeginAccessOff
EndAccessOff
DestroySurfaceOff
DrawOff
SetCliplistOff
SetDestinationOff
This DCI Driver currently supports the video data formats:
YVU2, YVU9 and IF09
with MPEG and Microsoft Video for Windows and other video playback
applications which follows the display control interface calling sequence
made by Microsoft Corp.
This DCI is installed with Trident display driver and assumed to be enabled
by default.
Trident DCI driver package includes the following files,
TDCI.DRV, the video playback driver
TDCI9680.INI, the initial data file for working on Trident 9680
TDCI.INI, the initial data file for working on Trident 9385 and 9682
TOVL9680.EXE, the tool to adjust the position of image on the chip 9680
TOVL.EXE, the tool to adjust the position of image on the chip 9385 and 9682
TDCI.DRV will be located in the directory C:(or other)\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
TDCI9680.INI, TDCI.INI, TOVL9680.EXE and TOVL.EXE will be located in the
directory C:\WINDOWS
To play AVI files, Video for Windows 1.1e or above should be installed.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
