  MINIPORT DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 95, 98, ME, NT and Windows 2000 INSTALLATION

A.) Install Miniport driver to the Win95, Win95-OSR2, Win98, WinME

    1. Plug Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter(NC100 v2)
       into one of the Master PCI slots of your PCI platform.

    2. Turn power on then boot from Windows 95 (or Windows
       95-OSR2 or Windows 98 or Windows ME).

    3. Window system will prompt Fast Ethernet PCI Controller in
       New Hardware Found dialog box.

    4. Select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer"
       from New Hardware Found dialog box, then click OK button.

    5. Insert the NC100 Driver Diskette in your floppy drive.

    6. Enter the driver pathname, i.e. A:\WIN95 (or \WIN98 or \WINME),
       then click "OK" button from Install from Disk dialog box.

    7. When the system has selected your installed adapter,
       the screen will show the following adapter name.

         "Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter" 

    8. Follow screen instructions to complete the process.

    9. Restart your computer.


B.) Install Miniport driver to the NT351, NT40, and Windows 2000 

   B.1. NT351:

       1. In the Main group of NT351, choose the Control
          Panel icon.

       2. In the Control Panel window, choose the Network
          icon.

       3. In the Network Settings dialog box, choose the
          Add Adapter button.  The Add  Network  Adapter
          dialog box appears.

       4. In the list of network cards, select "<other>
          Requires disk from manufacturer", and then press
          <Enter> button.

       5. Insert this driver disk in drive A, enter drive
          and pathname A:\NT351 and then choose the "OK"
          button.

       6. In the Select OEM Option dialog box, you will see
          the product list following in the menu, select the
          exact product and use OK button to install it.

       7. After that, installation is completed.  Network
          Everywhere Fast Ethernet adapter becomes one
          of those Installed Adapter Cards and driver become
          one of those Installed Network Software. 

       8. Now, the SETUP program has already copied NC100.SYS
          from A:\NT351 directory to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS
          and the OEMSETUP.INF from A:\NT351 to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32
          but renamed to other installation information file. 

       9. To complete network installation, remember binding the 
          adapter to transport drivers by choosing "Bindings" 
          button under Network Setting dialog box.

      10. Restarting your system you will acquire network service.


   B.2. NT40:

       1. In the "My Computer" icon of NT40, choose the Control Panel
          icon.

       2. In the Control Panel window, choose the Network icon.

       3. In the Network Settings dialog box, choose the "Adapters"
          item. The Add Network Adapter dialog box appears.

       4. In the list of network cards, select "Have Disk...", and
          then press <Enter> button.

       5. Insert this driver disk in drive A, enter drive and pathname 
          A:\NT40 and then choose the OK button.

       6. In the installed adapter dialog box, you will see the product
          list as following:
 
              "Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter(NC100 v2)"

          in the menu, select the exact product and use "OK" button
          to install it. 

       7. After that, installation is completed. Network Everywhere
          Fast Ethernet Adapter becomes one of those Installed Adapter
          Cards and driver become one of those Installed Network  
          Software. 

       8. To complete network installation, remember binding the
          adapter to  transport  drivers by  choosing "OK"  button
          under Network Setting dialog box.

       9. Restarting your system you will acquire network service.

   B.3. Windows 2000:

       1. Turn on power and boot up Windows 2000.

       2. Rename mxnic.sys (located on \winnt\system32\drivers)
          and net713.inf, net713.pnf (located on \winnt\inf).

       3. Shutdown Windows 2000.

       4. Plug Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter(NC100 v2)
          into one of the Master PCI slots of your PCI platform.

       5. Turn on power again and then boot up Windows 2000.

       6. Window system will show "Ethernet Controller" in
          "Install Hardware Device Drivers" dialog box.

       7. Select "Search for a suitable driver for your device
          (Recommended)" from "Install Hardware Device Drivers"
          dialog box and then click "Next>" icon.

       8. When system shows "Locate Driver Files" screen, please
          select "Specify a location" option and click "Next>"
          icon.

       9. When the "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box is
          appeared, please insert the NC100 Driver Diskette
          in your floppy drive.

      10. Enter the driver pathname, i.e. A:\NT50, then click
          "OK" icon from "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.

      10. When the "Driver File Search" dialog box is shown,
          please click "Next>" icon.

      11. When the "Insert Disk" dialog box is shown, please click
          "OK" icon.

      12. When the "Files Needed" dialog box is shown, please select
          "Browse" icon to find out the driver (located on a:\nt50),
          and then click "OK" icon. 

      13. When the "Hardware Install" dialog box is shown, the screen
          will show the following adapter name.

         "Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet Adapter" 

         Please select "Finish" icon to complete the installation.

      14. Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
