IMPORTANT NOTES:

 >>>	BOOTBLOCK CHANGED, PLEASE RUN FBB.BAT TO UPDATE BIOS	<<<  
   
1. Decompress BIOS.ZIP and extract files afudos.exe, f.bat, fbb.bat, and 
   stpgw030.rom to a bootable 1.44MB floppy diskette.
2. Boot the system and press <F2> to run BIOS Setup Utility.
3. Record existing BIOS setting. (Important to document current BIOS 
   settings, in the event the BIOS update restores any default settings)
4. Exit BIOS. 
5. Place the bootable floppy containing the new BIOS into drive A: of the 
   system, and boot to pure DOS mode. (non-HIMEM environment)

NOTICE: If you are updating from BIOS revision P01 to this new BIOS
revision, it is important to follow the Boot Block update instructions 
below. 

6. Run f.bat or fbb.bat (depending if the bootblock needs to be updated)
   - f.bat   : Updates system ROM only, but bootblock does not change.
   - fbb.bat : Updates both system ROM and bootblock.

   **NOTE** : If running fbb.bat, jumper J1D1 'BIOS FLASH WP' should set to 
	      pins 2-3 to enable bootblock write.  Jumper J1D1 'BIOS FLASH
	      WP' should be set back to pins 1-2 once update is complete.

7. If for any reason the FLASH process fails, please follow the BIOS 
   Recovery Instructions at the end of this document to recover the 
   system BIOS.
   
            NOTE: If after a BIOS update you encounter a CMOS checksum 
            error. Reboot system and press <F2> to enter BIOS Setup
	    utility. Check your settings, then save and exit Setup.

-Defect #71087, Floppy B appeared  when install  ASC-39320D-R and  LSI20320 
 on slot under Win2003.
-Fixed the CMOS checksum may be destroyed sometimes 
 (very rare, corner case Core issue).
-Fixed the CPU ratio field in [CPU Configuration] sub-menu will always 
 display for a locked CPU.
-Defect #71450, Modification for POST Error Pause - change Error type to 
 ¡§INFORMAL/WARNING¡¨ for some error messages including the Error Type for

-Fix use of WinXP FAT format for BIOS flash recovery from USB device.

  to resolve issue in which some data in I13R_CSEG was being destroyed

- Defect #71394, Fix dummy Interrupt Service Routine so that it will 
  properly issue an end-of-interrupt comannd when no ISR (driver) can service 
  the interrupt.
- Defect #71395, Revert to USB modules 8.00.04_USB-2.23.01 and 
  8.00.09_USB2.23.00-SB-HRICH_002 to resolve initialization issue using USB
  keyboard with built-in hub when USB 2.0 Controller Mode option set to 
  HiSpeed.

- Change setup option for Scan User Flash Area to Disabled by default.
- Fix BIOS Setup key message so it will still be updated on splash screen 
  for <F2> hotkey press when there is a CMOS error.

			BIOS RECOVERY INSTRUCTIONS
=============================================================================
- Build Recovery Diskette
  1.	Prepare a formatted floppy diskette.
  2.	Copy AMIBOOT.ROM to it.
- Execute BIOS Recovery
  1.	User Forced Recovery
	- set Recovery Boot Jumper J1D1 'RCVR BOOT' to pin(2-3)
	- Insert the Recovery diskette into floppy drive
	- Power on system
	- System boot and the screen will display the flash progress.
	- When flash complete, power off system and set jumper back to Normal 
	  mode J1D1 'RCVR BOOT' pin(1-2) short.
