< LED Indicators >
There is one LED indicator on the rear bracket for tracking network operation
and diagnosing problems with the network cable.

GREEN (Link)
10Base-T cabling only. The LED remains on when cable link integrity is good.

Making Network Connections
==========================

< Thin Coaxial Cable Installation >
Thin coaxial cable uses the BNC port on the rear bracket. To make the
connection, follow the steps described below.

Step 1 Make sure the power to your computer is off to avoid damage to both
the computer and the network interface card.
Step 2 Connect the T-connector onto the BNC port on the card, then connect
one end of the T-connector to the network cable. If the station is
being added to the middle of the network trunk cable, connect the
other end of the T-connector to the remainder of the trunk cable. If
the station is being added to the end of the trunk cable, connect a
50-ohm terminator to the free end of the T-connector.

Max. Segment Length: 185 meters
Max. Number of Nodes per Segment: 30
Max. Network Cable Length: 925meters
Min. Distance Between Two Network Cards: 0.5 meter

< Twisted-Pair Cable Connection >
Twisted-Pair cable is used in conjunction with the RJ-45 modular plug on the
rear bracket. To make the connection, perform the two steps described as
follows.
Step 1 Make sure the power to your computer is off to avoid damage to both
the computer and the network interface card.
Step 2 Using the RJ-45 plug and twisted-pair cable, connect the network
interface card to a 10BASE-T hub (concentrator). Note that the
maximum cable length between a 10BASE-T hub and any computer is 100
       meters.

Max. Nodes per Concentrator: Depends on Concentrator
Max. Cable Length to Concentrator: 100 meters
