Installation Fixes & Limitations:
---------------------------------
ENHANCEMENT:
------------
1. Support added for IA64.
LIMITATION:
--------------
1. If the MegaRAID Server is installed alone and the Registration Server needs to be added, the
MegaRAID Server needs to be removed and then both components installed. This is due to the
dependency for the MegaRAID Server.
2. If the MegaRAID Server is installed alone, there is no dependency; if installed together, the
MegaRAID Server is dependent on the Registration Server.
3. Due to a bug in the Install Shield for Windows Installer, individual Power Console Plus sub-features
cannot be removed through the command line. The command line, Setup /s /v"/qn REMOVE=ALL",
must be used to remove all components. This is a temporary workaround until this issue is resolved in
the next release of Install Shield for Windows Installer version 2.0. This is logged with Install Shield
as incident number 1-2FYZY.
4. To change the password, the location of Setpass.exe is <Destination Folder >\ rserver.

Power Console Plus changes:
===========================
Bug Fixes & Enhancements
------------------------
Bug Fixes:
----------
1. The “3 Initialize Progress” menu under “Progress” main menu was remaining enabled when adapter was changed even when no initialization operation was in progress.
This has been fixed.
2. When Background Initialization is in progress, if initialization operation is performed on a drive, the init progress dialog is shown inside the BI window.
This has been fixed.
ENHANCEMENT:
------------
1. Added a Battery Status menu under Adapter.
The Battery Status menu when clicked shows the battery status dialog with the following info:
Battery Module : Present/Missing
Temperature : Normal/High
Battery Pack: Present/Missing
Charge Status: Complete/Prog/Failed
Charge Cycle: 0-1100 (shows “Battery Life Low” if cycle exceeds 1100)
Battery Voltage: Normal/Low
The Battery Status menu will be disabled if controller does not support battery module.
2. Added a S.M.A.R.T Settings menu under Adapter.
The menu when clicked shows the S.M.A.R.T Settings dialog with the following info:
Enable S.M.A.R.T Mode: Check box to toggle S.M.A.R.T mode
S.M.A.R.T Parameters
Scan Interval –> 1 to 1092 mins
MRIE value –> 0 – 6
The menu is disabled if S.M.A.R.T mode is not supported.
If S.M.A.R.T mode is disabled then the S.M.A.R.T Parameters are disabled too.
3. Added a Enable/Disable Check Consistency Restoration menu under Adapter.
The menu will show the following dialog:
“Disable Check Consistency Restoration” when CC Restoration is enabled.
“Enable Check Consistency Restoration” when CC Restoration is disabled.
By default CC Restoration is enabled in Firmware.
The menu is disabled (grayed out) for all controllers which doesn’t support this call to get the status of CC Restoration.
4. MegaRAID Power Console Plus will now use port 3571 to communicate with RAID_SERV.
If the communication fails it will try to connect using port number specified in ports.dat file under system32\drivers\etc\ dir
