Overview

This driver is the Windows 2000 and Windows XP driver for the GTW V.92 Modem or GTW V.92 Voice Modem. 


Identification
 

In Windows 2000, use the following steps to identify the modem.

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

4.  In Device Manager, double-click Modems.

5.  If GTW V.92 Modem or Voice Modem appears in the list under Modems, this driver is the correct driver.


In Windows XP, use the following steps to identify the modem.

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance.

3.  In Performance and Maintenance, click System.

4.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

5.  In Device Manager, double-click Modems.

6.  If GTW V.92 Modem or Voice Modem appears in the list under Modems, this driver is the correct driver.

Note: The Applicable Part Numbers section can also be checked against the computer's invoice.


Installation

1.  Close all open windows, except this readme.txt file if instructions are needed.

2.  If you have not already done so, locate and double-click the 9520523_XP_2K.exe file that you downloaded from the Internet.  This file should be located on your desktop.  Files are extracted to the C:\Cabs\9520523_XP_2K folder.

3.  From the Start menu, click Run.

4.  In the Run dialog box, in the Open text box, type: C:\Cabs\9520523_XP_2K\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

5.  In the Welcome dialog box, click Next. 

6.  Files copy. 

7.  In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.

3.  In the Add or Remove Programs window, select GTW V.92 Modem or GTW V.92 Voice Modem, and then click Remove.

4.  In the Confirm Removal dialog box, click OK.


Troubleshooting

Follow the Removal instructions and remove every instance of GTW V.92 Voice Modem.  Download the file again, and then reinstall the driver.  Ensure that no installation steps are missed.


Reason for Update

This is the latest driver for the GTW V.92 Voice Modem.
